on topic: mamayang alas syete pa ng gabi matatapos yan. malamang, trial and error kasi sila kaya natatagalan.

ReplyDeletethey can't put their maintance sa ganung oras. simply bcoz, walang mag pe perform ng maintance procedure during those times. Well, kung gagawin nila yun, they have to hire ng tao willing to work ng ganung oras at kung meron man, sympre iisipin ng E-games Mngt. yung added cost para sa pag pe perform ng maintenance.
i myself, initiate a maintenance plan on our 8 Database (DB). But when i say, it would be finish after 4Hours. It will finish on or before 4hours expired.
Hindi ko lang alam kung anong maintenance plan ang gamit ng e-games kaya ang hirap mag comment. But for sure, part of the maintenance plan includes:
1. DB itself (D2 maraming ginagawa)
2. LOG Files
3. DB Tune-UP
well, lets wait nlang sa cabal ulit. This just a little info for those ppl about maintenance. Btw, kung walang maintenance,serveral issues will effect our gaming experience,such as Lags, slow connection, unstable DB which might result item lost.. and many more.. bsta yun.. this is just a simple info lang..

running a SQL Script on a Largest Table of 18M Rows <<<<---- Normal DB w/c i handled. usually takes 1:30Hours to run the query. considering na may 6 server n ang cabal, kung ang equation ay 1:1, i mean per planet isang physical server, it would take 9hours para lang sa isang table n dapat i maintain. Nwy, i know naman na d lalaki sa 18M rows yung character DB nila.

Yun nga, dpat alam nilang i calculate yung time ng maintenance nila, d bale sana kung 1st time lang to, sna nman magbigay sila ng tamang oras, wala nman problem khit 1 day ang maintenance, sabihin lang ang totoo, ang mahirap ksi maraming umaasa sa binigay nilang time.
